I have used various forms of this app for close to 10 years. Everything from the original stand-alone version to our current Client-Server setup. Our 20+ person business has a central "time-clock" that users "punch in/out" on that doubles as the server. We have multiple managers running client versions to enter time off, run reports, etc. from their desks. It boils down to this: it works and it works well. If you think $195 is too much well this app probably isn't for you. I spend just north of $500 annually for this software (client/ server combo) and support and it's worth every penny. This software keeps me in compliance with payroll laws as well as empowering individual employees with access to their personal information regarding availability of time off, etc. If your a small business owner, HR person or whatever give it a shot. It beats the pants of manual systems and I have yet to find a software solution that has the flexibility that VT has. I have found the occasional bug or some other weird behavior but Redcort seems to be on the ball with squashing them. There are still some UI issues I have but they are by no means show stoppers. Thanks Redcort.

Yes, Virtual TimeClock is a commercial software package that costs $195. We've been successfully selling and supporting Virtual TimeClock since 1986. Virtual Timeclock Pro is powered by an SQL database engine. In addition to timeclock entries, Virtual TimeClock Pro offers a sophisticated report writer, messaging, and accrued and used leave tracking. When you compare our pricing to our competition, we're priced about 1/3 the cost making Virtual TimeClock a tremendous value. Those who need a simple freeware or shareware time tracker will find lots of options better then Virtual TimeClock. Those who need a serious timeclock for thier business will find Virtual TimeClock a great solution that poays for itself in a very short time. We have many tens of thousands of users who support this conclusion many dozens of happy new customers every month. Keith DeLong President Redcort Software http://redcort.com

Shouldn't it rather be $19.5 or something like that? It must be a typo.

If this is too steep for your pocketbook like myself take a look at Punch It Pro. Requires Filemaker Pro at the moment but they say a standalone is coming soon. Small footprint, cheap, and it works. http://www.conceptualize.com/Pages/pip.html
