Vinegar overview

Vinegar is a Safari extension that replaces the YouTube player with a minimal HTML video tag.

It removes ads, restores picture-in-picture, and keeps videos playing in the background.

What’s new in version 3.0.2

Vinegar:
  • Stop YouTube from taking back control of the video player.
Vinegar Extract:
  • (iPhone-only) Removed the empty space above the video player when the toolbar is hidden.
  • Updated icon size.
