Itried to install this app over 4times and copied and pasted the reg informaton into the app just to be told that the informaion was not entered correctly as i say after 4 attempts i emailed support to ask for a refund whish i thought was a resonable request and got this reply:On 24/09/2019 13:49, Matthew Lewis wrote: CAN I JUST HAVE A REFUND PLEASE? I am simply astounded by the number of positive reviews here as my experience with both the software and the support were very bad. The software mad a huge number of errors, and many were not on obscure albums, e.g. Adele 25. Why would anyone forgive a program that takes the first song on that album, "Hello," and identify it as a single release, separating it from the rest of the album. I could not correct this error. SongKong also got the composer of that song wrong (primary composer was Adele). Anyway, here is an itemization of my problems:

1. Inaccurate: Numerous songs were mistagged and separated from the rest of the album from which they were extracted. This was so bad that I had to restore my entire (6000 song) library from a backup taking hours to accomplish. Also, the software does not seem to recognize compilations, as the one I had was separated into several different albums (the original ones from which they were extracted) even though the song metadata included the compilation album name as well as the song name.

Support: While the developer did make suggestions, he ignored my statement that I had followed his suggestions and got the wrong results a second time requiring another restoration of my 70 GB library. He insulted me for not reading the instructions for his interface (for which see below). The trial version did not write the changes so I had no way to see if it was working using iTunes. He refused to refund my money.

Interface: Probably the most complex interface I have ever seen (and I have been using purchased software since 1980). Starting fix songs brings up a set of preferences some very technical on which there are no fewer than 11 tabs! This requires reading a lot of documentation. I prefer intuitive software.

The developer will undoubtedly respond to this. He will say I insulted him, but he took my criticism and my request for a refund as a personal attack. All I've got to say I'm happy that some people are getting good results, because I certainly did not. For most people I recommend iTunes for artwork and duplicates (and accurate tags taken directly from Gracenote). SongKong does no more than does iTunes.

At the moment Im using SongKong to organize a MASSIVE 1TB Music Collection. Alot of REALLY BAD tags!!! I have tried many other programs and have wasted alot of money. This program is the real deal! I will be changing my 4stars to 5 stars if I can get an issue fixed which brings me to another point, The support for the software is Top Notch, Support will guide you through any issues you have in a prompt dummy proof way. Djing over 13 years and having spend thousands if not hundreds of thousands on music having my library organized is absolutely KEY for me to do my job properly and this software is one of my main tools in doing so! I HIGHLEY RECOMEND THIS SOFTWARE. Ive used mp3 tag, media monkey, tunescleaner, beatunes... I could go on for ever. While others do have key points NONE work in the way SongKong does! There seems to be a problem with renaming files. When I tried the new version 3.22 the first letter of any file becomes a "_"?
