  • Transposes all scanned notation

There might be another game in town, depending upon your needs. OMeR (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/9468) is an add-on for Melody Assistant or Harmony Assistant which attempts to do the same thing. I haven't had much luck with it - it claims my scores are too dense, but it does work to a point. (Actually, that's all I can say for any OCR software). The price for OMeR is $20, and Melody Assistant is another $20 - which gives you some fairly nice music score editing tools. Worth a look for those feeling bound.

This is a bad piece of software. It isn't Universal, as a matter of fact it isn't even Mach-O yet!!! The interface is just plain awful and updating the thing is such a pain. The software does not offer anything in the way of auto updating and their website is amateurish at best. They are pretty much the only game in town and so can get away with their prices. Unfortunately their piece of software does not work that well.

I think this sounds really interesting, but is way out of my price range. I follower the link to their site for more info and found there is a Lite version that claims to be 50% off for a short time. I followed the link for ordering and pricing and the price shows up as $199. I don't know any musicians that make the kind of money to justify this pricing. Don't you think if the price was $40 they'd sell 10x as many copies?
