Kitchen Timer overview

Kitchen Timer is a simple and useful timer for your cooking and other needs. This little application is a software representation of the old fashioned mechanical kitchen timer. Perfect for all Mac addicts and all those with recipes on their Macs in the kitchen.

Use it to time anything and you can set multiple overlapping timers. Time your watering, cooking a dish, plus baking bread at the same time, or anything you need to time.

I like the fact that I can create multiple named timers. This allows me to time multiple events at once and keep track of which timer refers to which event. I can also pause a countdown timer, add a minute or two, and resume the countdown. If I could pause and resume a countup timer as well I would give it five stars.

This is an excellent little app. Not only is it handy as a kitchen timer, but I have a tendency to work long hours sitting at my Mac. I set Kitchen Timer for half an hour, when it goes off I get up, stretch and get something to drink. It's also useful to let me know when it's time for me to watch something I want to watch on TV. It's easy to use and it's proved itself as a break timer.

I just wanted to mention that the program works. It's a simple timer program, but it does what it says. I realize it's priced too high. However, I think the other comments could've made the same point without the attitude. No, I'm not the developer. However, all companies are trying to learn how to price their programs in an App Store world. I guess I give a bit more slack to a smaller developer than someone like Microsoft or Adobe.
