While this program has promise, it has issues with 10.5.2 (and possibly earlier versions of 10.5) most notably, preference boxes are partially obscured not allowing the user to access any of the settings in those particular boxes. That being said, the default configuration does a pretty good job on cassettes. Haven't tried it as yet on vinyl. I won't buy it until it's ready for prime time (10.5.2)

The Macupdate download page states $26.00, but when you try to purchase online from the demo version they want $36.00. Also, if you look on the purchase page, they have the $8.00 tech service option checked by default. Don't know if these are honest mistakes or if they're hoping nobody notices when they pay. In the meantime I'll stick with Audacity.

This is a great idea, but I was unable to get it to work on my iMac 800MHz system; first it couldn't auto-install the MP3 encoder (which was also not at the provided download URL) on start-up, and then the setup wizard failed to recognise my FireWire audio interface (MOTU 828), allowing only the option of recording audio via the built-in microphone. Perhaps I'm just in the unlucky minority whose hardware is not supported. If anybody has a work-around for these issues, let me know, as I'd really like to try this program out.

Ace app. Nice format support and recording features. The price can't really be beat. I'm a big fan of this company's products and would like to see more of them on Macupdate.
