@anonymous, this widget will open the latest comic "in place" as you ask: just click on Dogbert after he stops spinning.

A widget for me should be an "all in one place" solution. But this one doesn't display the cartoon right there but only provides a link that opens in the browsers (at least for me it does). I would like to see the cartoon when I open Dashboard.
