Export for iTunes overview

Export for iTunes lets you export your playlists and albums from iTunes to any local folder, external storage, SD card or USB drive! With Export for iTunes you can transfer easily your playlists to your car stereo or any other media player. Convert aac/m4a files to mp3 for best compatibility with most sound systems; view a demo video.

The app converts, copies and organizes your playlists' and albums' music files into folders, and creates the .m3u file that lets you play your playlist on any media player. For every album, you can include an image file with album artwork. You can browse and select which of your playlists or albums you want to export. See all playlist/album tracks with their metadata without opening the iTunes app. You can also export the track list from any album or playlist to Excel, so you can create a file with info about all your iTunes music. This iTunes export app let you preview and export metadata like: Title, Artist, Time, Album, Genre, File path, Kind, and Bitrate. The app does not modify your iTunes library.

It creates it's own sorting and persists when exporting. I wasted three hours trying to export by genre which it doesn't have but it won't even export sorting by Artist. Not worth it at all.

It does not transfer DRM protected music. Since all Apple music is DRM protected, this software is entirely useless.

I think they just want you to subscribe to their service at a monthly price as high as the purchase price of this app. It is actually spam. Too bad spam comments like this can't be removed by MacUpdate.

This is a curious app to rate. It found ALL my digitized albums in my iCloud account without even being shown where they were, and MOST all of my albums and individual songs on my iPhone...except any I had added in the last 3 days before I used this app for the first time. I was able to sync the two (finally) easily, though I wish I had had more familiarity with it so I could have done the sync at HIGH rather than GOOD quality, and everything is MP3. Unfortunately, it did NOT find anything I had added in the last three days before I used the app the first time (six albums on my iPhone) and it hasn't found anything since. I did notify the developer a week ago, but that apparently isn't enough time for him to sort out what's happening. So it did me a lot of good, but apparently it was a one shot deal and I'm not sure I could redo anything to improve the quality of my recordings. I did this so as to be able to play them via Bluetooth on my HiFi system, so I did want as good as I could get.

Does this app also work with Catalina's Music.app? If so then the dev might consider changing the app's name into Export for iTunes & Music.
