Everytime you start the program (with valid license !) it will connect to: wyday.com analytics.localytics.com ad-targeting-1724526091.us-east-1.amazonaws.com If you block this (Little Snitch), after some time you get a warning to ro re-register, and some times later the program switches to trial-mode with expired trial-time !!!

DSLR Assistant is aptly named. It acts as my second photographer when needed. I set up my MacBook and tether my Canon XSi which is on a tripod. I have it setup to take a picture every 5 seconds to a total of 500. This frees me up to take other pictures as needed.

I've used Capture One Pro and Canon Utilities for tethering 1Ds3's and 5D2's and both softwares have proved to be a constant source of embarrassment in front of clients due to lost frames, freezes, crashes and general poor performance even on new apple laptops. For the last few weeks I've been using DSLR Assistant including a Beta of 1.5 and not only are there a load more features, most importantly it's way way way more stable as a tethering solution. I'd advise people with similar experiences to switch off tethering in C1Pro and allow this dedicated software to handle this crucial task.
